Snazzy new holes

I just put in my very first pair of dangly earrings. Me and Erin picked them up this weekend -- and technically I'm putting them in a few weeks early, but I wanted to try them out. It feels... weird. Kind icky. And I'm so not used to seeing something there -- looks odd. Cute, but odd. I've decided that I'm going to be a dangly earring person. Of course I want to get some simple diamond (or white topaz) studs to wear all the time and to sleep in...

When I shake my head it feels funny. Hehe.

sleep in studs? really?

I can't stand sleeping in studs -- I think I stopped doing that as soon as my ears healed up. The only earrings I can wear 24/7 are captive ball rings (and they're my fav earrings, btw)

Dude, I just got my ears pierced like a month ago -- I don't really have a choice.

And dude, you wear captive ball rings in your lobes? I thought those were just for other body piercings? Arent they a pain to take in and out? My two upper ear piercings are CBRs

oh, yes, you do have to sleep in studs until your ears heal. I know I used to sleep in studs, but I've had my ears pierced since I was 8. At some point in time, sleeping in studs started to really bug me. Also, sleeping in piercing studs is much easier than standard studs, since piercing studs have those ridges on them.

I do wear CBR in my ears. If you get your ears pierced at a piercing parlor, that's what they'll put in your ears, since it allows for healthier, quicker healing. I've got my set from when my mom got her ears pierced (she did them at the same place I did my nose). They're (1) totally cute and (2) yes, a pain to take in and out. I don't really mind the pain since I go months without removing them. In fact, I just removed them for a CT scan I had. Before this, the last time I removed them was two years ago for a friend's wedding. They're my favorite earrings I've ever worn, and I usually don't mind not having variation in earrings.
