Good Day!

My asshole neighbor is moving out -- as I type this! You know, the one with the huge dog that barks all the time -- the one I can hear talking on his phone all the time -- the one who threatens to kill the dog on a regular basis -- he's moving! He got kicked out because of the dog. Yes, I constantly complained about that dog -- for one, I had damn good reason. For two, the dog was at least 3 times the max weight limit on pets. And they never took it out -- they just let it out on the balcony to do it's business... and they never cleaned up his business so it smells horrid.

He's also getting sued. I only know this because he uses those damn Nextel phones that everyone keeps at max volume. Newsflash: cheap electronics carry very well. Cheap radio -- you can hear it through walls. Same with those damn phones. I can hear his phone conversations even if I'm trying to watch TV. He's very mad about being sued. Hey, gossip is fun.

And by this afternoon, I'll be done with all but 1 final. Woo! I'm about to head off to school to finish up my last program and cement an A in this class. It's been so long since I made an A!

Happy Tuesday!

Great job on the A! :)

And great job on getting rid of the mastiff next door. I think it's pretty sad when people don't take good care of their pets.

I was also glad to read the good news about your graduation. I myself will be graduating, and i've been in school for seven + years......bleh.

But, on the bright side, I will have two degrees and a lot of good applicable experience! :)

Btw, I previously posted as "Ann" but I have started a blog, so here it is. I'm aka Julie, Jewels, Jules and Jewels Ann. What do you think? Someone suggested that Ann would be a better first name than Julie which is actually my first name. Jewels is the nickname everyone has had for me for years.

Anyway, I enjoy reading your blog. So, now you know where mine is, if you ever want to chat or leave a note or something :)

Congrats again, glad to hear everything is going so well for you!

Thank you.

I like "Jules" - though I bet that somehow relates to a movie with a really hot guy named Jules.

Tell izzy I said hi.

I think I always avoided Jules because it seems kinda "male." I think a guy named Jules would be hot - what movie?

Jewels, however, was my ex-boyfriend's favorite moniker for me, so I have been shying away from it and trying new things. I think that's why I added "Ann" to Jewels.

Maybe I'll just go by Bob or something :).

What degree are you graduating with? I probably should know from reading, but my reading comprehension at work is slightly diminished.

Sure will tell him you say hi. That's how I found your blog! He reads a lot of them, but yours was the only one of his links that I really latched on to reading.

Back to the salt mines.......

And you shouldn't have to change you "name" for your ex. If you like Jewels that you like it -- fuck him -- he can't take that away from you.

Also, it takes guts to pull off a unisex name. Isn't it always so sexy when a guy has a name that could go either way -- but he's all strong and sexy and doesn't even care? *swoon*

The only other person who called me "jewels" was my father. He was the one who created my first email back when I was 14. He passed away when I was a senior in high school and I kind of retired the nickname then. Maybe it's time to enjoy Jewels again. :)

Computer Science is a great field. What do you want to do? Are you more programming or networking? My dad was a software engineer for NASA.

I, on the other hand, am a double major in Music and Communication - neither of which has any specific job potentiality. I will be certified K-12 when I graduate :) but I doubt I'll ever teach.

Anyway, I see you've posted a new entry, so I'm gonna check it out!

I'm still not sure -- I guess whatever someone wants to hire me to do. Not programming though --- certainly not programming. I'd rather do networking or supervising. Like supervising projects or even just being the tech person for some big company. CS majors can pretty much do anthing. We're called "computer professionals" which means you need to hire someone -- you need to know that they know a computer backwards and forwards -- you hire a CS major. I really wouldn't mind being hired by a big company to keep up their internal networks and do tech support and teach people new software. Lord knows it would supply me with plenty of bitching foder.
